The Roundhouse Choir are one of the most exciting youth choirs in London today who bring energy and joy to every performance they give. Approaching the end of their 8th year, the choir made up of forty 16-25 year old singers from all over London, has a repertoire as dynamic and diverse as they are: from Eastern European love songs, South African spirituals, Contemporary Opera, Pop, and commissioned work, to their own compositions. Led by Osnat Schmool and Rathi Kumar and assisted by David Cumming they’ve performed at venues across the UK and collaborated with the likes of Mercury nominated Sam Lee, Reeps One, Imogen Heap, Mark Ronson, Auclair and most recently performed at a late night BBC Prom with Jamie Cullum.
This is the Roundhouse Choir’s 4th Voices Now festival and they’re looking forward to welcoming other choirs, collaborating and sharing with singers from across the UK and the world. In November this year the Roundhouse Choir will be joined by singers from Faroe Islands, beatboxers and drummers from India, circus artists and folk musicians from Scotland to create a mass music moment in the Roundhouse Main Space with an incredible lead artist – more details to be announced soon!
